FAQ #1
Why hire Deidre Hughey to speak at your next event?
The audience will hear a presentation that makes them laugh, reflect and ultimately, inspires them to change the way they look at themselves and the world around them. Oh, and, I show up early, I finish on time and I’m easy to work with, at least, that’s what they tell me.
FAQ #2
I’ve seen your book, I Am Bound and Determined. If an event planner doesn’t have a room full of survivors, how is your book relevant to their audience?
I Am Bound and Determined is about going down the path of life, finding your world turned upside down by circumstances out of your control and then finding the strength, will and fortitude to push past it all and become successful. It’s a guide to digging deep and being bound and determined no matter what…does that answer your question?
FAQ #3
I see that you have a list of presentations. Do you customize at all?
Actually, I think it’s critically important to customize my presentations. Every audience is different and every event has different objectives. If possible, I would love to talk with at least one person from your organization ahead of time to ensure I deliver exactly what you’re looking for.
You know, when I was in school, I played sports, I was in school plays, and I was on the honor roll. Yet, at the age of 16, I wanted to commit suicide and was admitted into a psychiatric institution. I know that school can be rough, heck, life can be rough. But now, I’m driven to share what I wish I had known when I was growing up and help kids understand that life is so much better than you can possibly imagine!
FAQ #5
I read that you like giving presentations to parents too. How is your message different for them?
In a lot of ways, it’s similar. Most kids and parents need to look at their life and their situations differently and they need inspiration to do it. The difference, however, is really in the delivery of the message. Because while kids are still picking their path in life, parents have found a path and dug a rut. And they’ve enlisted their friends to help them dig the rut. Sometimes, parents need a swift kick. I’m a parent, I can say that.
