1. Where did you grow up?
On a farm in Flint Hill, VA – a tiny town in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Rappahannock County. Horse country…beautiful.
2. Guilty Pleasure:
Milkshakes, I LOVE vanilla milkshakes from Chik-Fil-A. Whipped Cream – No. Cherry – Yes.
3. Old stuff or new stuff?
Depends. Technology? New. Just about everything else, old. I absolutely love antiques, architecture of old homes with wrap around porches and columns, the smell of old books and the feel of worn leather.
4. Mountains or Oceans?
Ooooh. Mountains. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy a trip to the ocean. I got engaged and married in view of the ocean. But, the mountains! Well, there’s a peacefulness about the mountains and a sense of wonder that is indescribable for me.
5. You talk often about seeking inspiration. Who are the most inspirational people you have ever met?
First and foremost, I would have to say my girlfriend, Karen. She inspires me everyday by helping me to believe in myself. Next, I would have to say Nancy Solomon and Rhonda Britton. I haven’t met them in person, but I’ve talked with them by phone or on my radio show. They both have a gift of being able to share their words and move people to action.
6. Favorite Foods at Home
In no particular order:
1. My husband’s lasagna – such an incredible dish, that I’m always disappointed if I order it at a restaurant, so, I don’t!
2. My homemade chili
3. My husband’s carne asada
4. Heated taquitos from Costco with guacamole, salsa verde and freshly chopped cilantro (hey, the question didn’t say anything about homemade)

Spiderman. Spiderman. Does whatever a spider can. Spins a web, any size. Catches thieves, just like flies. Look out – here comes Spiderman! It goes without saying that I was pretty stoked when they came out with a Spiderman movie – go Spidey!!

11. Favorite Music?
I have very eclectic tastes and my music choices and very dependent on my mood. However, I’m always in the mood for just about anything from the late 60′s and early 70′s.

13. Characteristic you least admire in yourself?
I can be extremely tough on myself.
14. Favorite place to vacation?
Honestly, anywhere with my husband. If my husband’s not allowed in this question then it would have to be anywhere my friends are.
